Join us for a hands-on DIY Metal Casting workshop where you’ll learn the fascinating art of casting with molten aluminum! In this session, participants will create their own hand-sized Styrofoam sculptures, which will be transformed into durable aluminum castings.
Workshop Overview:
• Method: Aluminum Direct Replacement Casting
• Process: Participants will design and craft Styrofoam sculptures, which will be packed into green sand molds. Once the molds are prepared, molten aluminum will be poured into the sand, replacing the Styrofoam and forming a solid aluminum casting. After cooling, you’ll be able to take home your very own aluminum creation!
